One of the Queensland locals favourite family beaches. Main beach offers a fantastic, well patrolled beach. This is the Beach to go to if you want to experience true Aussie beach culture. Withing a 5 minute walk, you will soon discover Tedder Avenue lined with designer label Fashion Boutiques, Real Estate Agencies as well as chic Cafe’s and Restaurants.
SURFERS PARADISE
The hub of the Gold Coast Beaches is Surfers Paradise Beach. This World Famous Beach is a favourite with tourist from all over the World. Surfers Paradise Beach boasts great sporting activities that anyone is welcome to join such as Beach Volley Ball and Beach Cricket. Music is played over speakers so you can relax on the Beach and listen to some cool tunes.

BROADBEACH Beach
Broadbeach is also a wonderful Gold Coast Beach. Lined with stunning Parks that have BBQ facilities, Broadbeach is the ultimate destination to unwind with the Family. There is also playgrounds for the Kids! There is something for everyone at Broadbeach.
Broadbeach’s main beach, also known as “Kurrawa” is home of the famous Kurrawa Surf Lifesaving Club. Kurrawa Surf Lifesaving Club is definitely a great place for families to go for a beautiful lunch looking over the Ocean. Kurrawa is Home to the Australian Surf Lifesaving Titles held Annually! What a fantastic spectator sport!
MIAMI Beach / NOBBY Beach
Located approximately 20 minutes south of Surfers Paradise by Bus is Nobby Beach. Nobby Beach is for taking it slow. There are many parks in Nobby Beach with many shady BBQ areas. Separated by Headland, which is known as Magic Mountain, is Miami Beach. Miami Beach is a continuation of Nobby Beach just to the south. Miami Beach is home to many hardcore local diehard surfers.
BURLEIGH HEADS Beach
Quite possibly the most attractive Beach on the Gold Coast, Burleigh Heads has that taste of Aussie Beach culture. There is actually a great atmosphere there.. you can actually feel it! It is a highly rated beach and is definitely worth the 30 or so minute Bus ride from Surfers Paradise. Burleigh Heads Beach has hundreds of Pine Trees in the Park which attracts local parrots and birdlife… Which is amazing!
Be sure to visit Oskars on the Beach for a dining exerience overlooking the Ocean that you will not forget.
TALLEBUDGERA
This is a really unique Gold Coast Beach spot. You have Tallebudgera Creek that finds the Ocean. So you have calm swimming water in the Tallebudgera River. This is an ideal place for families with young children to swim. A short walk from there is a nice patrolled surf beach.
PALM BEACH
Palm Beach, adjoining south of Tallebudgera is a fantastic Gold Coast Beach as well. This is more a Gold Coast beach suited to the Hardcore Surfers of the Gold Coast. If you want to go surfing here, be sure not to “drop-in” on the locals!

However, the Gold Coast City Council ensures safety in almost all the beaches with various security measures and lifeguard vigilance. If a particular beach is considered risky, lifeguards will clear up everyone from it to ensure safety. With all these security measures, Gold Coast beaches are well protected and it offers a fine entertainment to visitors. Though all the beaches are clean and attractive, beach sand erosion is one of the major problems faced by Gold Coast beaches. Hence the Shoreline Management Plan was implemented to protect the coastal resources.
