I have been to Montezumas Burleigh Heads myself a few times. I must admit I have not been there in about two years but I have noticed the service slide considerably. To be fair I must admit that I think that most restaurants on the Gold Coast have been forgetting the Golden Rule of the Hospitality Industry… that being the “hostpitality” part!
Honestly, some restaurants that I go to I feel like I am an inconvenience to the wait staff. I constantly see others being treated like this as well at certain locations around the Gold Coast. If someone wants to know how to run a successful Restaurant may I suggest that you take a trip down to Mario’s at Broadbeach. I don’t think that the food is especially nice.. Personally I find a lot of the dishes are pre-cooked lumps of meat with sauce splashed over it that is a bit too thick, a bit too rich and bit too sweet. Having said this, I would much rather go to Mario’s than most other restaurants because the staff understand the good old fashioned service.
The staff there are fantastic they make you feel welcome and I have always walked out with a smile on my face. After all going to a restaurant is not always all about the food. It is having a drink and a bite to eat while sharing some fun with friends and family.
Paul Klerck says that he has a horror run with restaurants and is almost given up trying to find a decent restaurant where the food is great, staff are hospitable and prices reasonable. Mr Klerck has been a long time customer of Montezumas Burleigh Heads and you should read what he has to say!
