Coomera

Coomera is a district located in the Gold Coast region. It is one of the fast developing regions in the city. Due to the development of different projects, the region is expected to grow tremendously in the upcoming years. Various renowned attractions like Lamington National Park, McPherson Range and scenic rainforests are contained within the Coomera circuit. Coomera is located at a close proximity of other popular locations like Pacific Motorway, Pimpama, Oxenford, Willow Vale and Canowindra. Project works are in the pipeline for a university campus, a shopping centre and a Technical and Further Education (TAFE) centre around the Coomera region.

Attractions

Two popular theme parks namely Dreamworld and WhiteWater are located within the Coomera region. Dreamworld is one among the biggest theme parks in Australia. Dreamworld offers various amusement rides and other entertainment activities for full family attraction. WhiteWater, a water ride park sponsored by Dreamworld, has more than 140 water games and is considered as the biggest water ride park in Queensland. It features various water games like Hydrocoaster, Octopus racer, Funnel Rides, and Gurgler rides.

Gold Coast Holidays Afloat offers floating houses for tourists who wish to spend a day in the boathouse. Tourists can board up to 12 persons per boat and can stay there with a lot of amenities. Pimpama, located near Coomera, is home to ‘The WRX Experience’, a road motorsport facility that offers an amazing car driving experience.

Coomera River

Coomera River flows from the Lamington National Park and covers a wide range of locations before entering into the Gold Coast Seaway. On its course, the river touches the Pimpama River and Nerang River. The River has two major tributaries namely Saltwater Creek and Coombah River. Other notable spots like Coomera Falls and Coomera Gorge are also located here.
