O’Reillys Gold Coast Hinterland

Recently I took a holiday on the beautiful Gold Coast, I spent 4 days beachside, got a little bit too much sun and then 5 days in the Gold Coast hinterland region I stayed at a place called O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat. I was so amazed by this natural paradise that is tucked away in World Heritage Lamington National Park, less than 2 hours south west of the Gold Coast. I could not believe how big Lamington National Park was it is World Heritage Listed as the largest sub-tropical rainforest in Australia. O’Reilly’s even plays host to bird watching week it is home to over 200 bird varieties, hundreds of waterfalls and has 160 kilometres of walking tracks.

O’Reilly’s has an awesome Tree Top Walk which offers a close up view of the rainforest canopy and all the wildlife that lives below. You can explore on your own or take advantage of their very own guided Discovery Program. I did the Discovery Program it included guided walks, four wheel drive bus trips, nocturnal walks and glow worm walks, flying fox rides, slide shows and much more.

As I Walked through the lush rainforests, past beautiful waterfalls, under tree gardens of ferns and orchids, I realised this could possibly the real Garden of Eden a total unspoilt world that is yours to explore.

I urge anybody that is visiting the Gold Coast to visit O’Reilly’s it has to be the very best in Gold Coast hinterland accommodation.
